NEWS RELEASE: Have the Talk of a Lifetime

Dokken-Nelson Funeral Service Encourages Families to Have the Talk of a Lifetime

Free Community Presentations Will Be Held November 19 at 2pm & 6:30pm

Bozeman, MONT. (November 7, 2014)  Dokken-Nelson Funeral Service & Crematory today announced its participation in and support of Have the Talk of a LifetimeSM, a national effort to encourage families to have conversations about life and what matters most.  Dokken-Nelson held a “soft” launch of the campaign at their recent Advanced Planning Seminar on October 9.

Dokken-Nelson invites you to join them on Wednesday, November 19, at 2pm or 6:30pm to learn more about the Have the Talk of a Lifetime initiative.  These free community presentations will be held at Dokken-Nelson Sunset Chapel located at 113 South Willson Avenue in Bozeman.

“It’s not easy to talk about death, so we’re encouraging families to talk about life” said Chris Remely, owner and funeral director at Dokken-Nelson Funeral Service.  “Learning about memorable events and people, places and favorite activities, and values and lessons learned can help bring us closer to our loved ones.”

In addition to a brief presentation, Dokken-Nelson will be providing free guidebooks to help get the conversation started.  These stories can then be used at a later point in time to commemorate a loved one’s life.  Through meaningful memorialization, families and friends take an important step in the journey toward healing after death.

The Have the Talk of a Lifetime campaign is sponsored by the Funeral and Memorial Information Council (FAMIC) in partnership with the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA)—of which Dokken-Nelson Funeral Service & Crematory is a member.

"Thank you for all your help and support during the death of my mother.  I was very impressed with your staff throughout this difficult process.  With your help we were able to say good-bye to our mother in a very meaningful way.  Our loss is still so new, but our thanks to you for the care you showed."
