Darrell Randall of Bozeman died Sunday, August 12, 2012 in after a brief illness.

He is survived by his wife, Edith, of Bozeman; a son, Ken (Debbie) Randall of Whitehall, MT; daughter, Bonnie (Neil) Schutzman of Marlborough, MA; grandchildren, Lacey Simon of Belgrade, Charles Randall of Three Forks, Kat Laise of Bristol, CT, Steven Schutzman of Rocklin, CA, and David Schutzman of Marlborough, MA; stepgrandchildren, Autumn, Chris, and Bruce Pavey of Whitehall; and several great-grandchildren.
 
Darrell was born July 13, 1928 in Denton, Montana, to Arthur and Alice Landa Randall. He grew up in Philipsburg, Basin, and Boulder, MT. He graduated from Boulder High School in 1948 and moved to the Gallatin Valley with his parents in 1949; they operated the Hot Springs Garage for several years.

He married Edith Cole in 1950.

Darrell worked as a mechanic at Montana Motors Shop and Rolfe and Wood in Bozeman. He was an ASE certified mechanic and received a Chrysler Gold Tool Award. He worked with David Pruitt at A D Shop near Four Corners for several years, then ended his career at Churchill Equipment in Churchill, where he retired in 1994.
 
A lifelong auto enthusiast, he especially cherished his Packard collection.

Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, August 16 from 9:00 am to 1:00 P.M. at Dokken-Nelson Funeral Service. Graveside services will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery at 2:00 P.M.
