Fred Joseph Leavitt passed away Saturday, September 8, 2012 at his home in Bozeman.  He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on October 27, 1940 to Mildred I. and Fred J. Leavitt.  He grew up in Bozeman and joined the National Guard in 1957.  On February 3, 1958, while on leave and traveling home to Bozeman, he was seriously injured in a bus accident.  In October 1993, he became a client of Reach, Inc.

Fred is preceded in death by his parents, three nieces, one nephew, and a brother-in-law.  He is survived by three sisters, Loretta Gee, Pat (Neil) Keyes, and Irene (Bruce) Thompson; one brother, Michael Leavitt; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Reach, Inc. and their staff for Fred’s care.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 12 at Dokken-Nelson Funeral Service.
