Rebecca Armstrong

December 1, 1974 ~ April 11, 2017

Rebecca Ann Armstrong was born December 1, 1974, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to David Kay Johnson and Katherine (Colbert) Johnson.

Becky grew up in Cache Valley, Utah, bossing around her siblings and cousins. She graduated from Mountain Crest High School in 1993. After attending the Utah Shakespeare Festival in 1989, she fell in love with the theater.

She decided to travel to England by herself at the age of 19, visiting literary landmarks such as Stratford-on-Avon and Charles Dickens' home. She attended the University of Utah majoring in English. She continued to travel, living in New York City and Hawaii. Becky loved the arts and was a talented Shakespearean actress, performing in plays in the Salt Lake area.

After settling in Bozeman, she met and married her husband, Adam. They started their own family together while she indulged in her love of baking. Diagnosed in April of 2016, she passed away after a year-long battle with colon cancer.

Becky is survived by husband, Adam; daughters, Regan and Elanor; parents, Katherine Colbert Johnson and David Kay (Susan) Johnson, David and Marie Armstrong; sister, Jeri (Rob) DeSisto; brother, Scott (Tricia) Jingleson; sisters-in-law, Abra Armstrong and Anne (Ryan) Polk; nieces, Hannah and Murron; nephews, MacCallan and Keller; and hundreds of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was proceeded in death by all four grandparents, Raymond George Colbert, Lavern Marie Burt Colbert, Kay Delore Johnson, Myra Bee Gough Johnson; uncle, George Henry Colbert; and cousin, Melody Johnson.

A memorial service is planned to take place in Bozeman on June 11 at the Beall Park Recreation Center where Becky and Adam were married in 2012.
