Eleanor Gover

July 13, 1938 ~ September 19, 2017

Service: September 25, 2017 10:00 AM
Location: Grace Bible Church Fireside Room

Eleanor Rash Gover went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 19, 2017.  She was born to Floyd and Betty (Bates) Rash on July 13, 1938.  Eleanor was a lifelong resident of Gallatin County and loved Montana.

Eleanor attended school in Central Park and Manhattan, graduating in 1956.  She married Leon Gover on February 28, 1959 in Manhattan.  She was blessed to go to work in Bozeman and worked for 43 years for the State of Montana and the City of Bozeman.

Eleanor’s children and grandchildren were the center of her life and provided great happiness.  She also loved her home, flowers, Bobcat athletics, camping, and traveling, which she was blessed to do.

She was a lifelong member of Grace Bible Church and enjoyed Bible Study and the companionship of the many friends who attended over the years.

Eleanor is survived by her husband, Leon; children, Michael and his wife, Beth, and their children, Christopher and Jenevieve of Bozeman, and Sheila and her husband, Kevin Papke, and their children, Bridger (Rebecca) and Sara (Zane Kountz) of Three Forks; sister, Joan Droppers; sister-in-law, Lorraine Van Ausdol (Jim Smith); mother-in-law, Audrey Gover; and many aunts, cousins, and extended family, as well as her church family and work family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Betty Rash; grandparents, Ray and Mae Rash, and Paul and Alma Bates; brother-in-law, David Droppers; and many aunts, uncles, and extended family.  Her families lived in Gallatin County for the past century and she was very proud of them.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, September 25 at the Grace Bible Church Fireside Room.  Private interment will take place at Meadowview Cemetery.

Memorials in Eleanor’s name may be made to Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch, 2050 Overland Ave., Billings, MT  59102.

"One of the most important components of this stressful time were the services you provided and the smooth operation that ensued.  We can sincerely say that your services were absolutely top-notch and we feel that things simply could not have gone better.  The professionalism and experience of your staff was clear and it extended to every person we dealt with.  We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts."
