Mary C. Husemann

December 22, 1953 ~ February 01, 2018

Service: February 09, 2018 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
   Location: Dokken-Nelson Funeral Service

Mary Husemann was born in Cody, Wyoming, on December 22, 1953, and passed away in Bozeman, Montana, on February 1, 2018. She moved to Bozeman in 1974 where she completed a degree in education at MSU.

For 35 years she “kept the Crystal going” before retiring to her Gallatin Valley ranch.

She and her life partner, Jody Ross, lived there together for twelve years. They made regular trips to Colorado and California to spend time with family. Their trip through the Redwoods in 2015 was especially magical. Earlier, Mary had delighted in attending the Miles City Bucking Horse Sale with Jody and his parents.

An accomplished horsewoman, pool shark and artist, Mary is remembered for her generous spirit, the creativity shown in her cooking, gardening and other art forms and the love she had for animals. She made every card she sent both personal and artful.

Mary was happiest at home on the ranch with her four-legged companions, Birdie, Melon Napper and Blue.

Preceded in death by her parents. Mary is survived by her sisters, Harriet and Lynnie; her partner, Jody Ross and his siblings, and the family of her heart: Christopher and Becky Ross and their children, Stetson and Lexi.
